On the undercard to Juan Manuel Marqeuz-Juan Diaz at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, Juan Manuel Marquez (48-3, 36KOs) knocked out Juan Diaz (33-2, 17KOs) in nine rounds to capture the vacant WBA and WBO lightweight titles in a classic war.
Diaz came out with a lot pressure, staying close to Marquez and throwing multiple combinations. Marquez battled back with his own combinations. The two of them began to stage a way that brough the entire crowd to their feet. Marquez tried countering back, but Diaz, like his nickname, would bull his way forward and continued to throw more combinations that were tagging Marquez. read more
