Pacquiao-Hatton winner may face Mayweather

MANILA, Philippine — Even in his retirement, the slightest rumor-provoking move by Floyd Mayweather Jr. is enough to titillate fight journalists.

Pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and junior welterweight ruler Ricky Hatton are busying themselves for what could be a contender for “Fight of the Year” honors but the retired Mayweather continues to cast a shadow on the May 2 bout by being penciled as the next opponent of the winner of the Las Vegas tussle.
