At the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, IBF/WBC/WBA super flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan (32-1-1, 26 KOs) battered and bruised Jorge Arce (51-5-1, 39 KOs) for eleven brutal rounds of punishment.

Arce was a bit tentative in the first round, jumping in and getting nailed by Darchinyan's right hands and uppercuts. When Arce tried to circle around, Darchinyan's left hands found their mark and opened a cut under his left eye. Darchinyan went right to work in the second, landing lefts and rights that battered the face of Arce. A combination of punches peppered Arce as he was trapped in the corner.

In the third, a hard left began a rally for Arce. The two would brawl at close range with both fighters getting in some good punches. read more
