"There has been a lot of discussions surrounding this issue and it all boils down to the individual fighter and knowing Ricky like I do and having been out there for the past few camps, around 5 weeks or so is an ideal amount of time as it gives you time to adjust and get into Vegas time as well as having plenty of time for hard training.Any longer and it starts to grate on you a little. For Ricky I don't think it benefits him mentally, some people like to be away from everything and some don't. If Ricky was locked up for a long time it would drive him crazy and he wouldn't be in the right place mentally if he was there any longer than say 6 weeks but that's just my opinion." read more
